If you manage to occupy bases that form a continuous path encircling a region, you automatically collect the medals associated with that area. These medals are kept even if the enemy regains control of some bases later in the game.

The game ends when one player successfully captures their opponent's headquarters or obtains the required number of medals according to the board configuration. If a player can no longer draw or place troops, the game also ends, and the player with the most medals wins.
