What kind of game is Bomb Busters?
Bomb Busters, released in 2024, is a cooperative party game by Hisashi Hayashi and illustrated by DOM, in which players must defuse bombs.
The game features 66 missions, with increasing difficulty. So far, nothing incredible, right? BUT, we don't know why, this game is incredibly addictive! With limited communication, you'll need to cut the wires of other players and your own, while avoiding cutting the red wires. Because too many red wires cut, and it's game over!
The rules are quite simple to grasp: on their turn, the active player must either:
- make a duo cut, meaning cutting two wires of the same value: one they point to for another player, and another for themselves, of necessarily the same value
- make a solo cut, meaning cutting 2 OR 4 identical wires for themselves, only if they are the only ones of that value still in play
- reveal their red wires, only if they are the only wires remaining in their hand
In addition, each player will have a special power, and several single-use tools will be available to everyone to get out of the trickiest situations.
This party game is for 2 to 5 players, aged 10 or 12 and up, with games lasting approximately 30 minutes per scenario.
