How to play Bomb Busters?

Game Setup

Choose a Mission cardthat determines the bomb's setup and the game's special rules. Each player receives a stand containing several numbered wiresrepresenting the bomb's cables.

The wires are distributed among the players: each player only sees their own wires, creating an information asymmetry. The team also has a central board with a detonator and various equipmentthat can help solve the mission.

Gameplay outline

Players cooperate to identify and cut the correct wires. To do this, several actions are possible:

  • Cut a wire as a duoby trying to find the same number as a teammate.
  • Cut a wire soloif you think you have identified all occurrences of a value.
  • Reveal certain dangerous wiresto provide information to the team.

Each decision relies on deduction and memory. One mistake advances the detonator, dangerously bringing the team closer to an explosion.

As games progress, missions become more complex and introduce new rules, equipment, and surprises, making the experience ever richer.

Win/Loss Condition

The team wins if it manages to correctly cut all necessary wiresto defuse the bomb.

However, the mission immediately fails if a red wire is cutor if the detonator reaches the end of its countdown. In this case, the bomb explodes and the mission is lost.
