7 Wonders is the world's most awarded game! In this civilization game, develop your ancient city by trading with your opponents and confronting them militarily. Exploit your resources to construct buildings that will beautify your city, and be the first to complete your wonder.

How to play 7 Wonders?

Game Setup

  • Deal each player a selected Wonder, their associated board, and the starting coins/resources according to the number of players.
  • Shuffle the cards of each Age (I, II, III) and form three separate decks.
  • Each player receives a hand of 7 Age I cards.

Gameplay outline

  • All hands are drafted simultaneously: each player chooses a card from their hand, plays it (places it in front of them to build a structure or advance on the Wonder), then passes the remaining cards to their neighbor (left or right, depending on the Age).
  • This operation is repeated until each player has played 6 cards for that Age; the last unplayed card is discarded.
  • We then move on to Age II and then Age III after reshuffling and redistributing the cards.
  • At any time, players can use resources, trade with neighbors, construct buildings, or pay for certain special effects (science, commerce, military).

Win/Loss Condition

  • At the end of Age III, points are counted:

Wonder points
Building points (civilian, commercial, scientific, military)
Remaining money converted to points
Science bonuses, military victories

  • The player with the most pointswins the game.
  • In case of a tie, the winner is determined by remaining money or other criteria defined in the rules.

  • Mastering the draft from Age I

    Pay attention to your hand, but also to what you pass to your neighbors: blocking an opponent's strategy can be as useful as building your own.

  • Watch the neighbors

    Trade and shared resources can save you, but a poorly coordinated opponent can become a real threat: adapt to their actions.

  • Diversify your point-earning methods

    Do not specialize exclusively in one type (military, science) if the available cards do not allow it. A balanced strategy is often more reliable.

Yes, the version includes a 2-player variant with adapted mechanisms. A Duel version of the game also exists.
