Agropolis is a cooperative microgame that invites you to transform a few rural plots into a prosperous farm. Behind its ultra-compact format lies a true puzzle game where every card placement influences your final score. As a team or solo, you'll need to build the most efficient territory possible by balancing crops, livestock, roads, and variable objectives. Quick to set up but surprisingly strategic, Agropolis offers a rich building experience in just a few cards.

How to play Agropolis?
Game Setup
At the beginning of the game, three cards are turned over objective side up to define the scoring conditions for the game. These objectives change with each session and completely alter strategic priorities. The other cards form the reserve used to gradually build your agricultural territory.
Gameplay outline
- In each round, players choose a card and add it to the common area to expand their farm. Each card represents several agricultural plots made up of fields, orchards, vineyards, livestock farms or roads.
- Cards must adhere to specific placement rules to create a coherent territory. Some areas score more points when they remain grouped together, while roads tend to penalise the score if they multiply.
- The objective is to collaboratively build the best possible configuration while meeting the three scoring conditions drawn at the start. The challenge comes from the fact that each decision can improve one objective while complicating the others.
Win/Loss Condition
At the end of the game, the territory is evaluated according to the three objective cards as well as the general scoring rules. The final score must reach or exceed the threshold indicated by the selected objectives to win the game. Each combination of objectives creates a different challenge.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Build large agricultural complexes
Contiguous zones of the same type often generate a significant number of points. Try to limit the fragmentation of your territory from the very first placements.
-
Reduce unnecessary routes
Roads sometimes facilitate certain placements but they quickly become a handicap. Anticipate their development to maintain a high score.
-
Analyze the objectives before laying the first card
Objective cards define your entire strategy. Take the time to understand their interactions before starting construction.
