How to play Competitive Athletes?
Game Setup
- Set up the race board, then give each player one character from the available athletes.
- Each athlete has a unique power that modifies the usual movement rules. Some accelerate in certain situations, others disrupt opponents, or take advantage of unexpected events.
- Place all competitors on the starting line, then prepare the dice: the competition can begin.
Gameplay outline
- Players take turns rolling the dice to advance their athlete around the track.
- But in "Athlètes de Compète," advancing is only part of the story. Each character has a special ability that can completely change the course of the race. Some players gain power when they are behind, while others trigger effects that move multiple competitors at once.
- The game quickly becomes unpredictable as every action can cause a chain reaction.
- The objective is therefore not only to go fast but also to make the best use of the moment to use one's advantage and anticipate opposing abilities.
