How to play the Dungeon! expansion?

Game Setup

  • Mix the new charactersfrom the expansion with those from the base game.
  • Add the Lock Tokensand place them within reach.
  • The expansion does not modify the main setup: it integrates naturally into your Village/Castle market and your 3x3 grid.

Gameplay outline

  • During the game, you can recruit new characters just like any other market card.
  • Some characters introduce the Lockmechanic: they temporarily block an opponent's space or character, disrupting their potential combos.
  • Other cards offer new ways to earn gold, keys, or influence the Messenger.
  • The effects combine with those of the base game, providing more tactical choices and new tableau-building paths.

Win/Loss Condition

  • The victory conditions remain the same: the player with the most pointsat the end of the game wins.
  • The expansion's characters add new scoring objectives, sometimes based on the use or management of Padlocks.
