How to play Cabanga?

Game Setup

At the beginning of the game, several reference cardsare placed in the center of the table to create different value piles. Each player receives a hand of cards that they will try to play during the round.

The remaining cards form the draw pile and will be used in subsequent rounds.

Gameplay outline

In turn, a player must place a card in one of the central rowsin numerical order. The goal is simple: gradually reduce your hand of cards.

However, if too large a gapis created between two values, other players can intervene by shouting "Cabanga!"and getting rid of cards within that interval. These cards are then given to the offending player, who sees their hand grow.

This mechanism creates very interactive moments where you have to pay attention to the cards played and opportunities to penalize your opponents.

The round ends when all players have played their cards or a player has managed to empty their hand.

Win/Loss Condition

At the end of each round, cards remaining in players' hands count as negative points.

After several rounds, the player with the fewest pointswins the game and becomes the master of Cabanga.

  • Mastering card differences

The core of the game revolves around the intervals between values. Try to play cards that limit your opponents' ability to penalize you.

  • Keep a close eye on the other players' hands

Observing the cards played allows you to anticipate your opponents' moves. This vigilance helps you identify the ideal moments to launch a "Cabanga."

  • Holding strategic cards

Some cards are particularly useful for filling a gap. Keeping them can save you from a significant penalty.
