Cachamot is a word and party game where players must guess a chain of associations imagined by one of them. The principle is simple but devilishly clever: find a hidden word from very limited clues. Between logic, creativity, and intuition, each round provides moments of surprise when players finally understand the train of thought imagined by the "Cachamot". Accessible and quick to explain, this word game is ideal for entertaining an evening with friends or family.

How to play Cachamot?
Game Setup
At the start of each round, one player becomes the Hider. They draw a card with a word on it and write it on a slate.
They then think of a second word linked by association of ideaswith the first, and then a third word linked to the second. The last two words are hidden, but only their first letters remain visible to the other players.
The other players must then try to guess the last word in the chain.
Gameplay outline
Each player provides a single answer to try and guess the third word. To succeed, they must first understand the association between the first and second words, then between the second and third.
If no one finds the answer, a new letter of the hidden word is revealedand a new round of proposals begins. This mechanism allows for the gradual adjustment of the puzzle's difficulty.
The suspense builds with each round: a word might seem obvious to some players and completely unexpected to others.
Win/Loss Condition
The first player to correctly guess the third wordwins 1 point.
The Cachamot player also wins 1 point if the correct answer is found on the second round, meaning their association of ideas was perfectly balanced: neither too simple nor too difficult.
After several rounds, the player with the most points wins the game.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Find balanced associations of ideas
If you are the Cachalot, choose words linked by clear, but not too obvious, logic. The goal is to guide the players without giving them the answer immediately.
-
Watch for the logic of other players
Each group often develops a particular way of associating words. Understanding other players' reasoning can help you guess faster.
-
To think in chains of ideas
To guess the last word, don't just look for a link to the first. Try to mentally reconstruct the logical path between the three words.
