How to play Captain Flip?

Game Setup

Each player receives an Adventure boardrepresenting their ship. The Character tilesare placed in a bag and the gold coinsare placed within everyone's reach.

Each board has several columns where players will place their crew members throughout the game. The tiles represent different pirate characters with specific abilities.

Gameplay outline

In turn, a player performs the following steps:

  1. Draw a character tilefrom the bag.
  2. Decide whether to keep it or flip it overto reveal its other side.
  3. Place the tile in a column of their ship, always in the lowest available slot.

Once placed, the tile activates its effect. Some characters immediately award gold coins, while others offer bonuses at the end of the game or when a column is completed.

Players must therefore carefully choose the placement of each crew member to create effective combinations.

Win/Loss Condition

The game ends as soon as a player completes four columns on their board. All players then count their gold coins obtained during the game and through their characters' effects.

The captain with the most coinswins the game and becomes the richest pirate on the seas.
