Will you find Tutankhamun's treasure?
You live near the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of ancient Egypt are buried. One day, the opportunity to participate in the excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb arises, so you don't hesitate! Thanks to you, an entrance is finally discovered. But in the shadows, the foreman seems to be plotting against the expedition... Thus begins your adventure!
Cartaventura Odyssey is the Cartaventura experience adapted for the whole family, from 6 years old!
An adventure where you are the (young) hero with very simple rules, captivating worlds for both young and old; and a way to learn history while having fun, thanks to educational content written with specialists.
Each Cartaventura Odyssey scenario consists of 3 chapters, each lasting about twenty minutes. As the games progress, players reveal secret cards that give access to new parts of the story. By replaying the adventure, they can discover all possible endings. During their adventure, they also unlock the 10 Knowledge cards to learn about the history of ancient Egypt while having fun.
How do you play the game?
Game Setup
Each player reads the initial context and the characters they embody. The game consists of scenario cards and an accompanying booklet. The cards are shuffled and placed in a pile according to the setup instructions.
Gameplay outline
At each step, a card is revealed and read aloud. It describes a situation, an event, or a choice to be made. Players must then make a decision from the options provided. Depending on the choice made, a new card is drawn, advancing the story. The game unfolds linearly but with numerous narrative branches.
Win/Loss Condition
There is no classic victory or defeat. The goal is to bring the story to its conclusion based on your decisions. Each path leads to a different ending, more or less favorable depending on the choices made and the consequences encountered.
