How to play Catan?

Game Setup

  • Arrange the hexagonal tilesto form the island of Catan (mountains, hills, forests, fields, pastures, and desert).
  • Shuffle the numbered tokens and place them on the productive land hexes.
  • Each player places 2 settlementsand 2 roadson the board's intersections.
  • Deal the resource cards: brick, wood, ore, wool, and grain.

Gameplay outline
