A xenomorph has escaped from the ship and is decimating crew members one by one!

Your objective is simple: survive and eliminate the threat before it catches up to you. Nevertheless, be aware that you will probably perish... and immediately come back on board to get your revenge!

You've been warned: This game is a Killer !

In a turn, you're dealt two cards. Each card can be played to indicate your location on the ship (i.e. where you are) or an action (what you're doing). Each turn, you play one card, and then, once everyone has finished, the game reverses and goes backward, and you play the second card for whatever you didn't pick the first time. So, you always have a location and an action.

The alien's location is then revealed. If you share that location and have the highest priority number, you're dead. If a crew member's action kills you, you're dead. In fact, death happens quite quickly in this game — and ten minutes later, you're all playing again. However, with some skill and luck, you may be able to isolate the alien in one of the locations where you can jettison it into space, along with any crew members also located there.

How to play This game is a blast: Alien on board?

Game Setup

  • Secretly distribute the roles: Humans, Aliens, and sometimes special roles.
  • Place the Room cards and the ship's damage track.
  • Prepare the action and sabotage decks.

Gameplay outline

  • Each round, one player becomes the Captain and chooses who joins them on the mission.
  • Selected players play cards face down: support, sabotage, or special action.
  • The result reveals whether the mission progresses... or if the ship is doomed.
  • A discussion ensues: accusations, lies, defense, alliances.
  • The group votes to exile a suspect... or allows paranoia to set in.

Win/Loss Condition

  • Humans winif the ship holds out until the end.
  • Aliens winif damage exceeds a threshold... or if humans make false accusations.

  • Observe behaviors, not just cards

A silence, an awkward justification, or a dubious mission can sometimes be more telling than a numerical result.

  • Infiltrate gradually (for the Aliens)

An alien that's too aggressive gets noticed. An alien that's too wise is suspicious. Find the right balance.

  • Vary your game (for Humans)

Don't always vote the same way. Be unpredictable so as not to offer any reference points to the Aliens.
