Coucou La Girafe is the first micro game for children, perfect to take anywhere thanks to its pocket-sized format!
Combining speed and risk-taking, each player will try to feed the most giraffes with colorful leaves.
In each turn, a player flips over as many cards representing giraffe necks as there are players on the table. Then they flip over leaf cards (the back of the neck cards) one by one. As soon as a player wishes, they grab a Giraffe Neck card.
When all players have grabbed a Giraffe Neck card, we check if it can be used to extend the "Giraffe Body" card that everyone has in front of them at the beginning of the game.

How to play Peek-a-Boo Giraffe?
Game Setup
Each player receives a card representing their giraffe's body, which they place in front of them. The giraffe neck cards are prepared in the center of the table to form a common reserve that will be used throughout the game.
Gameplay outline
- In each round, one player reveals as many giraffe neck cards as there are participants. They then progressively flip over the leaf cards on the back of these cards. Players must observe the revealed colors and choose the ideal moment to grab one of the available giraffe necks.
- Once everyone has made their choice, the cards are checked. If the visible leaves match the requirements of the neck they picked up, that neck is added to the player's giraffe body and their neck grows longer. Otherwise, the giraffe cannot feed, and the player does not win that neck section.
- The game relies on a balance between patience and haste: waiting allows for more information to be gathered, but taking too long risks leaving the best necks for other players.
Win/Loss Condition
Once all cards have been played, players compare the height of their giraffe and the items they won during the game. The player who has built the most impressive giraffe wins the game and becomes the king of the savannah.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Learn when to pick a good time to catch a blow
Speed is important, but it shouldn't make you act without thinking. Wait until you have enough clues about the available cards while keeping an eye on other players' reactions.
-
Carefully observe the colors of the leaves
A good visual memory will allow you to know which colors have already appeared and to estimate your chances of successfully feeding your giraffe.
-
Take calculated risks
The biggest giraffe necks are often the hardest to get. Accepting a certain amount of risk can give you a decisive advantage over your opponents.
