How to play Dixit Daydreams?
Game Setup
This expansion requires the base game Dixitor Dixit Odysseyto be used.
- Mix the 84 Daydreams cardswith those of the base game.
- Deal cards to players as usual.
- No rule changes: integration is immediate.
You can also play only with this expansion (keeping the base game material) to discover a coherent visual universe.
Gameplay outline
The gameplay remains identical to Dixit:
- One player becomes the storyteller.
- They give a clue inspired by their card (word, phrase, reference…).
- The other players choose a card corresponding to this clue.
- The cards are shuffled and then revealed.
- Players try to identify the storyteller's card.
With Daydreams, the illustrations are particularly:
- Symbolic
- Strange and poetic
- Sometimes more abstract than those in the base game
This makes for even more open and creative associations of ideas.
Win/Loss Condition
Identical to the base game:
