With Esquissé, unleash your imagination in a drawing game where everything can go wrong… and that's precisely what makes it irresistible. Inspired by the classic "telephone game," this party game replaces words with drawings, creating situations as absurd as they are hilarious. Whether you're an artist or can't draw a straight line, the result will always be surprising. Accessible, fast-paced, and extremely user-friendly, Esquissé is a must-have for evenings full of laughter.

How to play Esquissé?
Game Setup
- Each player receives an erasable notebook, a marker, and a card with a word or phrase to draw.
- An hourglass is placed in the center to limit drawing time.
- All players prepare to draw simultaneously at the start of the round.
- The notebooks will circulate among players throughout the turn.
Gameplay outline
- Each player draws a secret word within the time limit.
- The notebooks are then passed to the next player, who must guess the drawing and write down a suggestion.
- The notebook continues to circulate, alternating between drawing and interpretation.
- As the rounds progress, the drawings often transform in unexpected ways.
- At the end of the round, the notebooks are revealed, often leading to collective laughter.
Win/Loss Condition
Players score points for correct answers and well-interpreted drawings. After several rounds, the player with the most points wins the game... even if, in Esquissé, the real goal is to have fun!
Our Tips for Winning
-
Simplify your drawings to be understood
In this drawing game, there's no need to strive for artistic perfection. Simple, clear drawings are far more effective for other players to understand. Getting straight to the point helps avoid misinterpretations.
-
Watch other players' styles
Each player has a different drawing style. By identifying your opponents' habits, you'll be better able to interpret their drawings and increase your chances of finding the right answer.
-
Bet on clear and universal ideas
The words or expressions suggested can sometimes be difficult. Try to represent easily recognizable elements rather than abstract concepts. This makes understanding easier and limits distortions over the turns.
