How to play the game Everdell SilverFrost?
Game Setup
Set up the game board and place the various resource, location, and objective spaces within reach of the players. Shuffle the cards and prepare the construction zones (individual cities). Each player receives their set of creature workers and basic resources. Position the snow on certain key locations on the board, which will add a significant strategic constraint from the start of the game.
Gameplay outline
In turn, each player performs one of three possible actions:
Place a workeron an empty location, a red destination card, or a mountain beacon to generate resources or trigger special effects.
Play a cardby paying its cost with collected resources or by using a chimney to reduce that cost.
Prepare for the next season, which brings workers back, adds a new worker to your reserve, and introduces more snow to the board.
Snow acts as an obstacle: to use a snowy spot, you must first spend a Fireresource to clear it. A special worker, the Ranger, can access occupied areas or generate Fire by visiting certain locations alone, thus offering new tactical opportunities.
Win/Loss Condition
The game unfolds over several seasons and ends once all players have completed the Springseason and can no longer take actions. Each player then tallies their victory points obtained from played cards, completed quests, and accumulated resources. The player with the highest score wins the game and is crowned Silverfrost’s most efficient builder.
