How to Play Fairy Ring

Game Setup

  • Each player receives a Village board and a Fairy pawn.
  • A hand of Mushroom cards is dealt to each player to start the round.
  • Mana tokens, objectives, and scoring elements are placed within reach of all players.
  • The game is played over two rounds, representing two seasons before winter.

Gameplay outline

  • In each round, all players simultaneously choose a Mushroom card from their hand.
  • The cards are revealed and then placed in their village to create or expand mushrooms.
  • All players' mushrooms form a common circle on which the fairies move.
  • Each player then moves their fairy according to the card played.
  • Depending on the space reached, they collect mana, or give it to an opponent.
  • The remaining cards are passed to the next player, creating a dynamic drafting mechanic.
  • After several turns and two complete rounds, the game ends.

Win/Loss Condition

  • The goal is to collect as much mana as possible to score points.
  • Each portion of mana collected allows you to increase your final score.
  • The player with the most points at the end of both rounds wins the game.
