How to play Fifty?

Game Setup

Each player receives a grid and secretly chooses 5 numbers between 1 and 49, adhering to certain constraints (such as forbidden numbers depending on the round). The game consists of 4 rounds, each with slightly varying selection rules to keep the game fresh.

Gameplay outline

  • A player starts counting aloud from 1. As soon as a number called matches a player's chosen number, that player interrupts the counting by saying "I have it!" and takes over.
  • From that point, they continue counting and score points for each number called... until another player interrupts them in turn.
  • Please note: if several players have chosen the same number, no one takes over, which adds a real tactical and unpredictable dimension.

Win/Loss Condition

The game ends after 4 rounds or immediately if a player earns two crowns (scoring objectives).

The winner is:

  • either the player with the most accumulated points,
  • or the one who triggers an immediate victory with their crowns.
