Dive into the epic world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with Gwent – The Legendary Card Game, the official physical version of the famous card game.
Embody one of the five iconic factions (Monsters, Nilfgaard, Northern Realms, Scoia'tael, or Skellige) and build a strategic deck to dominate your opponents. With its sumptuous illustrations and tactical depth, Gwent offers an intense and immersive experience, ideal for fans of competitive card games and the Witcher universe.

How to play Gwent?
Game Setup
Each player chooses a faction from the five available: Monsters, Nilfgaardian Empire, Northern Realms, Scoia'tael or Skellige.
Build your deck from the provided materials (number of cards, game aids, etc.). A score tracking board and tokens are also set up.
Gameplay outline
The game is played in 2 to 3 winning rounds.
In each round:Players play cards from their hand, activate abilities, place units or effect cards according to their faction's rules.
The goal is to accumulate more power than your opponent at the end of the round. If a player passes (has no further interest in playing) or if both players cannot or no longer wish to play, the round ends.
The first player to win two rounds wins the game.
Win/Loss Condition
Victory: be the first to win two sets.
Defeat: the opponent reaches two sets before you.
In case of a tie after two sets, a third set decides.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Know and leverage your faction's strengths
Each faction has its own mechanics (e.g., Monsters = high values, Nilfgaard = control, Scoia’tael = cunning), so adapt your playstyle to the chosen faction and anticipate an opponent who might use a complementary strategy.
-
Alternate between aggression and strategic play
Playing too slowly or too much can exhaust you. If you have the advantage, consider passing at the right moment to save your hand for the next round; this can surprise your opponent.
-
Observe the opponent and adapt quickly
Watch their played cards, effects already triggered, and anticipate their plan. Adapting your gameplay during the game (changing tactics, slowing down, or speeding up) is a major advantage.
