In Harmonies, you become an architect of nature. Combining reflection, strategy, and creativity, you build landscapes by stacking colored tokens, create habitats to welcome animals, and compete to score the most points.
The result: an elegant game, rich in choices, suitable for enthusiasts as well as regular players.

How to Play Harmonies
Game Setup
- Place the central board (2-4 players side) in the middle of the table.
- Shuffle the Animal cards and place 5 of them face-up next to the board.
- Each player takes a personal board (choose side A or B) and the corresponding player aid card.
- Fill each space on the central board with 3 tokens drawn randomly from the bag.
Gameplay outline
- In your turn, you must:
- Pick up and place tokens: select the 3 tokens from one of the central board's slots, then place them on your personal board according to the placement rules.
- Next, pick an Animal card from the 5 visible ones (optional) and potentially place one or more Animal cubes if you have created the required habitat.
- Finish with the reset phase: draw 3 tokens to fill the freed slot and replenish the visible cards if needed.
- Repeat turns until the game ends according to one of the conditions.
Win/Loss Condition
- The game ends either:
- When the token bag is empty at the time it needs to be refilled.
- Or when, at the end of a round, a player has two (or fewer) empty spaces on their personal board.
- At this point, points are tallied: for each completed habitat, for each landscape pattern (Trees, Mountains, Fields, Buildings, River, or Islands depending on the board's side), for each animal placed, etc. The player with the most points wins.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Prioritize consistency between tokens and habitats
Choose your Animal cards based on the colors of the tokens you can consistently collect. Having multiple cards that require red or yellow tokens will stall your engine.
-
Watch the chip count and the competition
When spaces become empty or rare tokens are drawn, adapt quickly. In a multiplayer game, if you leave an "attractive" space open, an opponent will take it.
-
Use the B-side or the Spirit of Nature cards to vary the experience
Once you're comfortable, play on the B-side of the board to change the scoring conditions (e.g., Islands instead of River) or add the "Spirit of Nature" cards for a deeper challenge.
All about Harmonies
How much randomness is there in Harmonies?
Chance plays a role primarily in drawing tokens and Animal cards. However, placement strategy, card selection, and anticipation make the real difference.
Does the theme have a big impact on the gameplay?
The "landscape creation" theme is very present and adds a visual and immersive dimension. But the mechanisms remain abstract: token placement, patterns to create, cubes to place. The theme enhances the enjoyment but does not unnecessarily complicate things.
Can you play solo?
Yes, the solo mode is included. It uses rule modifications (solo board, specific objectives).
Are there any variants or extensions?
The game offers several variants right out of the box: side B of the board, "Spirit of the Wild" cards. For now, no major ("stand-alone") expansions have been announced.
