How to play Hidden Leaders Duel?

Game Setup

  • Shuffle the Hero cardsand Leader cards.
  • Deal 3 Hero cardsto each player, who keeps them secret.
  • Give each player 1 Leader cardto add face down to their Council.
  • Place two rows of 7 face-down Hero cardsin the center.
  • Form a draw pile with the remaining cards.

Gameplay outline

The game takes place over 7 rounds. On your turn:

  • You observe the rows of heroes (only factions are visible).
  • Secretly choose heroes to invite to your Council of Leaders.
  • Manipulate visible cards to optimize your influence while disrupting that of your opponent.

Win/Loss Condition

At the end of the 7 rounds, each player compares their accumulated influence from heroes recruited into their Council. The player with the most influenceover the Senate wins the game.
