Mookie Island is a charming little card game where two players compete to become the greatest collector of adorable creatures called Mookies. With simple mechanics based on memory and majority, this game is ideal for introducing children to light strategy games while remaining fun for adults.

How to play Mookies Island?
Game Setup
Shuffle the 36 double-sided Mookie cards, including the standard Mookies, the 5 shiny Legendary Mookiesand the Spidercards.
Form two shuffled draw piles in the center of the table.
Also place the 5 trophies and the island poster within reach of all players.
Gameplay outline
The game is played by two players, with a duration of approximately 10 minutesand very simple rules suitable for children from 4 years old:
- Prepare two shuffled piles of Mookie cards.
- The youngest player draws the top card from one pile.
- They look at both sidesof the card and choose the one they prefer.
- If the chosen card is a Mookie, they place it face up in front of them, forming a personal pile of friendly creatures.
- If the selected card is a Spider, it goes into the opponent's pile(bad for them).
- Players take turnsuntil one of the two card piles is empty.
This simple mechanism allows children to easily understand collection by majority(who has the most creatures from the same family) while adding a bit of risk-takingwith the Spider to manage: getting rid of it becomes a tactical element.
Win/Loss Condition
Once all cards have been played, count the majorities for each type of Mookies. The player who has the most cards of a single family wins the corresponding trophy.
Warning: whoever has the most Spiders must discard a trophy! The player with the most trophy points at the end wins the game.
