On the edge of a mysterious island, embody a clan leader in Inis: conquer territories, build sanctuaries and citadels, gather new clans — and lead your people to glory. Inis blends strategy, diplomacy, resource management, and negotiations, all within a universe inspired by Celtic legends. Each game is an epic journey, full of territorial control, fragile alliances, and power struggles.

How to play Inis?
Game Setup
- Each player chooses a clan and receives their "clan" miniatures. The modular board, made up of territory tiles, is prepared.
- Action, epic tale, and resource cards are shuffled. Each player starts with a hand of action cards.
Gameplay outline
- Each turn, an "Assembly" phase begins: players draft (choose) their Action cards for the season.
- Then, during the "Season" phase, players play their cards to perform actions: place clans, move peoples, build citadels or sanctuaries, claim territories, use "epic tales" cards or special effects.
- Territory control depends on the clan majority: the player with the majority in a territory becomes its leader, which grants strategic advantages.
- These phases are repeated until a player meets one of the victory conditions — or is the most advanced at the end of a round.

Our Tips for Winning
-
Choosing the right cards in the Assembly
Drafting Action cards is crucial: anticipate long-term goals (territories, sanctuaries, majority) and adapt your choices based on available actions and those of your opponents.
-
Diversify your win conditions early in the game
Don't focus solely on one goal (e.g., conquering territories) — preparing for control, land, and religious aspects simultaneously gives you more flexibility and protects you against enemy blockades.
-
Control and consolidate territories—avoid overextension
It's better to ensure a majority and stability in a few territories rather than scattering your clans across too many areas, risking losing the advantage during conflicts.
FAQ – All about Inis
What are the technical specifications of Inis?
Inis is a game for 2 to 4 players, recommended for ages 14 and up, with a typical play time of 1 to 2 hours.
Why is Inis often described as an "advanced strategy game"?
Because it combines several complex mechanics—card drafting, area control, majorities, hand management, and player interaction—which requires anticipation, adaptation, and tactical decision-making.
What is Inis's replayability?
Replayability is very high thanks to the numerous cards, modular territories, and player interaction. Each game offers different situations, forcing players to constantly adapt their strategy.
Does the game promote player interaction?
Yes — majority struggles, clan displacements, conflicts, and the simultaneous drafting of actions force players to anticipate opposing strategies, to negotiate, block, or cooperate according to circumstances.
