How to play the game Kinfire: Callou's Lab?
Game Setup
Each game begins with setting up the "well", comprised of Challenge cards surrounding the final boss, Callou. Players choose their characters and draw a hand of Skill cards. A common pool of health points is also defined: it represents your collective survival.
Gameplay outline
In each round, players face an ongoing challenge by playing cards that match its color. Some cards can be versatile, while others impose specific constraints. If the challenge is not immediately overcome, you can progress through it... but at the risk of suffering penalties.
Players can cooperate by adding cards to strengthen an action. Be careful though: exhausting your hand forces you to draw negative cards, making progress more difficult. Each overcome challenge brings you closer to the final boss.
Win/Loss Condition
Victory is achieved by defeating Callou after traversing the well. However, if the shared life pool drops to zero, the game is lost. Coordination and resource management are therefore essential to survive until the end.
