Discover Nekojima, a wooden party game and dexterity game where players must build an unstable power grid on an island populated by mischievous cats. Between balance, tension, and precision, each added piece makes the structure more fragile and spectacular.

The game offers a unique experience combining physical manipulation and strategic thinking, where the slightest mistake can cause everything to collapse. Accessible yet challenging, it appeals to both families and fans of dexterity challenges.

How to play the game Nekojima?

Game Setup

The board represents the different districts of Nekojima. Players have utility poles (Denchuu), cables, and wooden game pieces. The structure is initially empty and ready to be progressively built.

Gameplay outline

In turn, players place or stack utility poles on the board. The wires must be installed carefully, never touching each other or unbalancing the whole structure. Some modes add extra constraints (cards, dice, or special rules), making each placement even trickier. The tension increases as the structure grows taller and becomes unstable.

Win/Loss Condition

In competitive mode, the player who knocks down the structure immediately loses the game. In cooperative mode, players try to build the longest possible network without causing it to collapse. Victory therefore depends on collective precision... or on the last individual mistake.

  • Master stability before height

Don't try to build too high too quickly. A solid foundation helps limit the risk of collapse in subsequent turns.

  • Observe the areas of tension on the plateau

Some areas become more fragile than others as the game progresses. Identify them to avoid putting too much pressure on them.

  • Play slowly and precisely

In Nekojima, speed is a trap. Every move must be controlled to avoid unbalancing the structure or shifting elements already in place.
