How to Play The Battle of Hoth?

Game Setup

Choose your side:EmpireorRebels. Set up the board representing the planet Hoth and place the units, generators, and objectives according to the selected scenario. Each side receives its specific cards, dice, and figures. Setup varies slightly depending on the scenario, allowing for a renewed gaming experience.

Gameplay outline

The game unfolds in successive rounds. In each round, players alternate their actions: moving units, attacking, playing tactical cards, and activating special abilities.
The Empire advances progressively with its powerful AT-ATs to destroy the Rebel generators, while the Rebels must slow down the enemy, defend their key positions, and organize the evacuation. Combat is resolved using dice and cards, offering a clever mix of strategy and tension.

Win/Loss Condition

Victory depends on the scenario played.

  • The Empirewins if it manages to destroy key rebel objectives within the allotted time.
  • The Rebelswin if they manage to hold out long enough or evacuate their forces before the base collapses.
