How to play Labyrinth?

Game Setup

Place the game board in the center of the table. Shuffle the movable maze tiles and place them in the empty spaces of the maze, leaving one extra tile next to the board. Each player chooses a pawn and places it on their starting square in one of the corners of the board. Also, shuffle the Objective cards and deal them face down in front of each player.

Gameplay outline

At the start of each turn, the player slides the labyrinth using the extra tile: they insert it along one of the indicated edges to move a row or column, thereby changing the corridor configuration. This action creates new passages or blocks paths, influencing everyone's movement. Then, the player moves their pawn along the open paths to reach the destination indicated on their Objective card. Once the treasure is reached, they reveal their card and move on to the next one.

Win/Loss Condition

The game continues clockwise until a player has collected all their treasures and returned to their starting square. This player is then declared the winner of the game! The ability to anticipate the movements of the maze and plan your moves is essential to win.

  • Plan each aisle placement

Changing the maze can benefit your path... or hinder others. Consider the impact of each insertion on your future trajectory.

  • Observe enemy objectives

Even if you only see your own cards, observing the paths your opponents take can help you guess their objectives and subtly thwart them.

  • Adapt your strategy

The maze is constantly shifting: a path that's clear one turn may become impassable the next. Be flexible and ready to change your trajectory to reach your treasures more efficiently.
