Game Setup

Gameplay outline

  • You progress room by roomthrough the disused asylum, reading the book and making decisions at the end of each section.
  • Each choice leads you to a different numbered section, revealing new descriptions, events, obstacles, or discoveries.
  • As you explore, you collect items, codes, and clues, while also managing your alert leveland the passing of time, two key survival elements.
  • Some obstacles require specific items, and certain choices can shift the atmospheretowards even greater tension, or even psychological confrontations.

Win/Loss Condition

  • Victory: A true victory consists of finding a viable way outof the asylum having survived the many dangers, having managed your stress well, and having recovered enough information.
  • Defeat: Bad choices, the loss of essential items, or poor time and alert management can trap you forever in the asylum. There are several possible endings, some darker than others.
