Dive into a new strategic dimension with LEADERS: The Vermilion Emperor, the first expansion for the tactical duel game LEADERS. This expansion introduces a new charismatic Leader and four unprecedented characters with unique skills, capable of profoundly renewing your strategies. Easy to integrate into the base game, it enriches every confrontation with new synergies, surprising powers, and more tactical possibilities. An ideal expansion for players looking to push the limits of their combinations and surprise their opponents.

How to play Leaders?
Game Setup
Set up the game board between the two players. Each player immediately receives their Leader, placed in their starting zone. Then place three visible Character cards to form the available recruitment "river". The remaining characters are ready to be recruited as the game progresses.
Gameplay outline
A game of Leaders is played in alternating turns, consisting of two main phases:
- Action Phase: The active player can perform one action for each of their Characters present on the board. They can either move a Character to an adjacent empty space or activate the special ability associated with that Character. Each power can change the course of the duel or open a strategic path to victory.
- Recruitment Phase: After performing their actions, the player can recruit a new Character from the three available and add it to their side, up to a maximum of five characters (Leader included).
Players compete by maneuvering their characters and utilizing their unique abilities to gain tactical advantage on the board.
Win/Loss Condition
The game ends when a player manages to capture the opposing Leader, which can be achieved either by moving two of your characters onto squares adjacent to the enemy Leader, or by completely surrounding that Leader with your units. Careful planning and intelligent team management are essential to achieve this objective before your opponent.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Master the characters' unique skills
Each champion has a special ability that can turn the tide of battle. Learn their effects, anticipate their combinations, and use them at the opportune moment to surprise your opponent.
-
Control the central area of the board
Controlling key squares allows you to limit your opponent's movement options while creating capture opportunities. Look for positions that offer multiple threats.
-
Anticipate opposing moves
Don't just play your own cards: observe and anticipate your opponent's intentions. Sometimes, a subtle defense is more effective than a direct attack.
