How to play Leda?
Game Setup
Each player chooses or receives an animal clan with its own specific cards and abilities. Participants have a starting grid made up of sixteen cards arranged in a 4 x 4 square. Initial resources are set up and each player prepares their clan deck.
Gameplay outline
- In each round, an area of the grid is activated using an Action tile. This activation can concern a row, a column, or another specific configuration of the personal board. The cards present in the selected area then produce their effects.
- Players use food to develop their civilization, improve their cards, deploy new abilities, and strengthen their game engine. As the game progresses, the grid evolves thanks to clan cards that replace or improve basic cards.
- Leda's originality lies in its asymmetry. Each faction pursues different objectives and has its own unique mechanisms. Observing the opponent's intentions becomes as important as developing one's own strategy.
Win/Loss Condition
Each clan has its own victory condition, which it must achieve before its opponent. At the same time, a military victory remains possible by dominating one's opponent. The first player to achieve their specific objective or fulfill their clan's victory conditions wins the game.
