- Place the Expedition cards in the center of the table, then prepare the objectives and cards needed for the round.
- Each player receives their starting hand before gradually building their exploration zones. Unlike classic Lost Cities, this version introduces more direct interactions and opportunities to create advantages... or traps.

- In turn, players perform several actions to develop their expeditions.
- They can play cards in their own explorations, acquire new cards, or open up strategic opportunities on the board. Some decisions allow for a quick expedition launch, while others favor a more gradual power buildup.
