How to play Master Word?
Game Setup
Choose one player to be the Guide, who secretly knows the master word to be guessed.
Shuffle the Master Word cards(150 cards with 300 possible words).
Place a stack of Clue cards, markers, and a clothin front of each Seeker, and keep the Solution cardswithin reach.
Gameplay outline
The game is played in quick rounds:
- TheGuide reveals the clueassociated with the keyword without revealing the word itself.
- The players, calledSeekers, discuss andeach write a clueon their Track cards to guide the search for the secret word.
- Once all clues are laid out, the Guide placestokensto indicate how many clues are "on the right track,"without saying which ones.
- Based on this feedback, the team refines its understanding and reformulates new clues or attempts an answer on aSolution card.
Communication is essential to decode the Guide's intentions and converge on the keyword.
Win/Loss Condition
The team wins together if it manages to write the master word on one of the Solution cards before the end of the allotted rounds.
If the team fails to guess it or if someone accidentally writes the master word as a simple clue (instead of on a Solution card), the game is lost.
Master Word rewards coordination and collective intuition, making every victory a true team success.
