How to play Match My Freak?
Game Setup
Place the Whacky-O-Meter and penalty tokens in the center of the table. Shuffle the Question cards and designate the first player to answer the questions. Each participant must be able to discreetly note their answer level using the provided materials.
Gameplay outline
In each round, an original question is read aloud. The player concerned secretly rates their answer on a scale from most reasonable to most outrageous.
Meanwhile, the other players share their impressions, debate, and try to determine whether the answer is higher or lower than a reference value. Once they have made their choice, the answer is revealed. If the group has correctly estimated the player's level, they progress towards victory. If they are wrong, a penalty token is added.
Each new question leads to often unexpected discussions, where anecdotes, confidences, and humor quickly take over.
Win/Loss Condition
The game is cooperative: all players win together if they manage to accumulate enough correct answers before reaching the penalty limit. The key to success lies in your ability to know the other participants well and to interpret their reactions.
