How to play Momo?

Game Setup

  1. Shuffle the cards in your deckand deal them out or place them face down in the center.
  2. Each player should position themselves so they can quickly see and retrieve their cards.

Gameplay outline

  • In each round, all players simultaneously flip overa card from their pile. Each card imposes a constraint: mandatory letters, forbidden letters, or a theme to follow.
  • As soon as you think you've found a word that matches the constraint, shout it out as fast as possible.
  • If your word meets the conditions, you're sure to be ahead; otherwise, you risk a penalty.
  • The last player to find a valid word or the first one to make a mistake collects all the cards flipped overthis round.
  • When a pile is completely turned over, count who has the fewest cards collected: that player wins the round.

Win/Loss Condition

  • Victory: Win the most rounds by accumulating the fewest cardsat the end of confrontations.
  • Loss: Accumulate too many cards due to lack of speed or accuracy.
  • Momois competitive without being aggressive, as the goal is to keep as few cards as possible throughout the rounds.
