How to play Wordle?

Game Setup

  • Set up the game board, then place the Word cards to create the different associations to be discovered. Each player secretly receives a specific position on the grid, indicating which words they will need to have guessed.
  • The group plays together against the game, with the objective of finding all the words before the end of the game.

Gameplay outline

  • In turn, a player looks at the two words corresponding to their secret position and must provide a single clue that will allow the others to find them.
  • The other participants then discuss collectively to determine which words are concerned. Once a proposal is validated, the group immediately checks whether they have found the correct answer.
  • The entire difficulty lies in the quality of the clues. Too precise, they risk becoming impossible to connect correctly. Too broad, they create confusion. Players must progressively build a common logic to succeed in linking all the clues together.
  • As the game progresses, the words already found increasingly influence subsequent choices and open new avenues of thought.

Win/Loss Condition

  • The game is won if the team manages to find all the words in the grid before running out of available attempts.
  • If too many mistakes are made, or if some clues become impossible to interpret correctly, the group loses the game.
