Mr Jack Pocket is a two-player game that has become a benchmark for asymmetric dueling and deduction. In the alleys of Whitechapel, one player embodies the investigator tasked with unmasking Jack, while their opponent tries to remain hidden until they can escape. Compact, fast, and particularly clever, this pocket format captures all the tension of the Mr Jack series in a more frantic and accessible experience. Between observation, manipulation of the terrain, and reading the opponent's intentions, each decision brings you closer to victory… or to the perfect escape.

How to play Mr. Jack Pocket?
Game Setup
- The board representing the streets is placed in the center of the table with the Character tiles distributed according to the setup instructions. One player takes on the role of the investigator, while the other secretly becomes Mr. Jack.
- The player embodying Jack knows his hidden identity, while the investigator must discover it before he manages to escape.
Gameplay outline
- The game consists of several rounds during which players take turns selecting available characters.
- Each character has a power that allows them to move suspects, change the layout of the alleys, or influence the lines of sight between characters.
- At the end of each round comes the key phase of the game: the witnesses. Visible or isolated characters gradually allow some suspects to be cleared, while Jack, on the other hand, tries to maintain doubt for as long as possible.
- The investigator seeks to gradually reduce the number of suspects, while Jack tries either to remain hidden until the last turn or to create an opportunity for escape.
- The game relies on a constant balance between hidden information, anticipation, and board control.
Win/Loss Condition
- The Investigator wins the game if they correctly identify Jack's identity before time runs out.
- The player playing as Jack wins if they remain undiscovered long enough or if they manage to escape according to the conditions outlined in the rules.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Conceal your intentions from the start
When playing Jack, avoid overtly defending a character. Too obvious a reaction can offer valuable clues to your opponent.
-
Use witnesses to quickly eliminate suspects
On the investigator's side, the objective is not to control the board but to gather information. Look for configurations that quickly reduce the number of possibilities.
-
Anticipate the characters' powers
Each choice immediately influences the following turns. Never choose a character solely for their instant effect.
