Mysterium Park is a cooperative game that captures all the investigative and interpretative atmosphere of Mysterium in a faster and more accessible format. An unexplained disappearance haunts an old amusement park, and only a ghost seems to know the truth. Using beautifully illustrated Vision cards, psychics must collaborate to clear suspects, explore locations, and discover what really happened. More compact and direct than its big brother, Mysterium Park retains all the magic of collective deductions and discussions around clues.

How to play Mysterium Park?

Game Setup

  • One player takes on the role of the ghost while the others become psychics tasked with solving the mystery. Suspect and Location cards are placed in the center of the table to represent the different clues available.
  • The ghost secretly receives the solution to the investigation and prepares their hand of Vision cards, which will be their only means of communication throughout the game. Unlike classic Mysterium, the setup is intentionally simplified to speed up the start of the game.

Gameplay outline

  • The game is played over just six nights: time is of the essence as the carnival will soon leave town. In each round, the ghost silently sends one or more Vision cards to the psychics to guide them.
  • Players then observe the illustrations and discuss freely to interpret the clues received. Their first objective is to gradually clear suspects before exploring the various locations related to the mystery.
  • Each psychic progresses in their own investigation, but the group shares its reflections to build a common understanding of the visions. Once the different stages have been completed, it's time to reveal the true culprit and the scene of the crime.

Win/Loss Condition

  • Players win the game if they correctly identify the culprit and the crime scene before the six available nights are over.
  • If the group runs out of time or chooses the wrong final combination, the mystery remains unsolved and the ghost cannot find peace.
  • Interpret the mood before the objects

Vision cards often work more like general sensations than literal clues. Look for prevailing emotions, colors, or themes.

  • Quickly build a common understanding

The more players understand how the ghost communicates, the smoother decisions become over the rounds.

  • Exchange without imposing your interpretations

The best solutions often come from a clash of ideas rather than a single reading of the cards.

FAQ – All about Mysterium Park

What's the difference between Mysterium Park and Mysterium?

Mysterium Park takes up the principle of the ghost communicating through visions but in a quicker format, with a lighter setup and simplified rules.

Is the game fully cooperative?

Yes, all the players win or lose together in the face of the mystery to be solved.

Can the ghost speak during the game?

No, as in Mysterium, all communication passes exclusively through the Vision cards.

Why does the six-night limit change the rhythm?

This constraint creates more tension and forces the group to make decisions more quickly.
