How do you play the game?

Game Setup

Each player receives a hand of "Species" cards and a personal objective. The decks are laid out in a line, with a progression system that unlocks new cards as the game progresses. You start with a play area called your "Ocean."

Gameplay outline

Each turn:

  • Play a Species card into your Ocean, following 3 rules: adjacent placement to an existing card, respect for depth, and food chain consistency (+1 or -1 between neighboring cards).
  • Then, draw a new card from those available.
  • If an objective is reached, you advance and unlock new opportunities.

Every decision counts: the card played and the card drawn directly influence your strategy.

Win/Loss Condition

The game ends when certain decks are depleted or a final objective is reached. The winner is the player with the most points from:

  • their scientific progress,
  • the balance of their biodiversity,
  • completed objectives and majorities.
