How to play the Nut Nanogame?
Game Setup
Each player has a play area representing their trees. In the center of the table, several "tree" cards containing acorns are arranged in columns accessible to all players.
Gameplay outline
Each turn:
- The first player chooses a tree column and takes a card.
- The other players must also choose a card from this same column.
- The collected cards are added to your personal area to build your acorn sets.
- Some cards feature squirrels, allowing you to multiply the value of the groups formed.
The choice of column is therefore crucial, as it also influences the options available to opponents.
Win/Loss Condition
The game ends when all cards have been collected. The score is calculated by taking:
- your largest group of acorns for each color,
- bonuses related to squirrels,
- and the overall optimization of your collections.
The player with the most points wins the game.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Optimize each acorn color
You only score points with your best group per color: focus your efforts on a few strong sets rather than spreading yourself too thin.
-
Exploit squirrels at the right time
Squirrels multiply your points: place them in your most promising groups to maximize their impact.
-
Control column selection
The initial choice influences all players. Select advantageous columns for yourself... but not very interesting for your opponents.
