How to play Ohio Bob and the Lost Amulet?
Game Setup
- Install the Temple cards to construct the first levels of the sanctuary, then prepare your Equipment card reserve. Set up the chosen difficulty level using the starting cards, which determine available energy and certain challenge parameters.
- The temple progressively evolves during exploration, and each game offers different configurations thanks to the multiple available cards.
Gameplay outline
- On your turn, you have two main options: play an Equipment card to advance through the temple or choose to rest to recover your used cards.
- Equipment cards determine your movement but also serve to bypass certain obstacles encountered during exploration. As you progress through the rooms, you discover provisions to regain energy, chests to improve your abilities, and traps that must be carefully navigated.
- Exploring the edges of the temple also reveals new rooms and gradually expands the sanctuary map to the deepest levels. The goal is not just to reach the amulet: you must also be able to deactivate the mechanism that protects it.
Win/Loss Condition
- To win the game, you must explore all three levels of the temple, reach the final room, and then have the right equipment and resources to disarm the trap protecting the amulet.
- If your energy reserves drop to zero before you complete your mission, the expedition immediately fails.
