Place a card on your forehead and let your team help you guess the word. As soon as you find it, move on to a new card. Be careful, you only have one minute to accumulate as many correct answers as possible! Then it's the opposing team's turn to play... on the same theme.
In total, 6 varied themes to compete on: music, brands, sports... there's something for everyone. Depending on the theme, the rules change: mime, hum, describe... everyone will have to reveal their hidden talents!
But that's not all: in each round, a challenge card makes the game even harder. Describe with a lisp, hum while swatting an imaginary mosquito... enough to turn every game into fits of laughter.
Ready to take on the challenge? It's your turn to play!
How to play Olémains?
Game Setup
- Players divide into teams and then shuffle the game cards before forming a common draw pile. A timer is placed in the center to set the pace of the rounds.
- Each team chooses a first player responsible for getting the cards guessed during their turn.
Gameplay outline
- In turn, a player draws a card and must then make others guess the words indicated, following the imposed rule.
- Depending on the cards, it may be necessary to mime, use only certain gestures, produce sounds, act out a situation, or deal with unexpected constraints.
- Partners must propose as many answers as possible before time runs out. Each correct answer allows them to advance, while some more complex cards require extra creativity.
- Roles change regularly so that everyone participates equally in both performances and guessing phases.
- The fast pace of the rounds encourages players to improvise and creates often unpredictable moments.
Win/Loss Condition
- The game ends when all the planned rounds have been played, or when one team reaches the score set at the beginning.
- The team that successfully got the most cards guessed wins the game.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Start with the most obvious clues
Under pressure, it's better to secure several simple answers than to get stuck on one difficult card.
-
Use your whole body
The best results often come from exaggerated gestures and very visible expressions.
-
Quickly create common references
As the game progresses, certain communication habits naturally emerge. Leverage them to speed up subsequent rounds.
