Perspectives brings together 3 investigations to be solved in an original and cooperative way.
Each investigation takes place in 3 acts. Each player is given a certain number of images containing information that complement each other: documents, photographs, plans... but it is forbidden to show one's own images to others! It will therefore be necessary to communicate correctly to answer the various questions posed by the game.
A great investigation game for those who appreciate observation more than reading!
How to play Perspectives Blue Box?
Game Setup
- Choose one of the three investigations, then open only the corresponding envelope.
- The cards are distributed among all players. Each player receives a different set of documents, which they keep in front of them without showing them to other participants. As in the first Perspectives, only oral descriptions of clues are allowed.
Gameplay outline
- Each investigation is divided into four acts that progressively advance the story.
- Players observe their documents and then precisely describe what they discover: photographs, archives, plans, conversations, objects, or investigation reports.
- The information often seems unrelated at first. However, by confronting different viewpoints, connections gradually appear, ultimately allowing players to answer the questions posed at the end of each act.
- The Blue Box retains the exact mechanics that made the first opus a success, but completely renews the experience with three new scenarios set in very different historical contexts. Each case has its own identity, characters, and mysteries, without requiring players to have played the investigations from the Orange Box.
- As in the original game, players can choose to reveal certain cards to facilitate their research, at the cost of a lower final score.
Win/Loss Condition
- At the end of each act, the team answers the various survey questions.
- Correct answers allow the story to continue to its conclusion.
- The final score depends on your ability to solve the entire case while limiting the number of cards revealed during the game.
