Pic Challenge is a children's board game that modernizes the classic Game of the Goose by adding real strategic choices. Forget simply rolling dice: here, players use movement cards to climb Mount High while taking advantage of special squares, encounters, and twists of fate along the way. Fast, colorful, and full of suspense, Pic Challenge offers games where everyone has a chance to win until the very last square. Designed for ages 5 and up, it develops decision-making skills while remaining very accessible to young players.

How to play Pic Challenge?
Game Setup
- Assemble the various boards to form the mountain path leading to the summit.
- Each player chooses a pawn and places it on the starting space. The cards are separated into three piles: Movement cards, Descent cards, and Chance cards. Each player starts with three Movement cards in hand. The die is placed near the board for certain special effects.
Gameplay outline
- In turn, a player chooses one of the three cards in their hand to move their pawn.
- Unlike a classic board game, the player decides their own movement. This freedom allows them to aim for the most advantageous spaces… or to avoid the most dangerous ones.
- The path is dotted with numerous special spaces: some allow you to roll the die, others offer a new card, make a player move back, allow you to swap hands, or draw a powerful Chance card.
- If a player lands exactly on a space occupied by an opponent, an Encounteris triggered. Both players roll the die and the loser must move back, adding fun interaction and many twists to the games.
- Finally, to win the game, you must land exactlyon the last space of the path. If a move goes beyond the end, the pawn moves back by the number of excess spaces. This rule keeps the suspense going until the very last turn.
Win/Loss Condition
- The first player to reach the mountain peak exactly wins the game.
- Thanks to the many special cards and the effects of the spaces, a significant lead can disappear very quickly, keeping the suspense until the end.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Choose your cards carefully
Not all progress is equal. Landing on a good square is often more beneficial than advancing as far as possible.
-
Watch out for special squares
Some offer real shortcuts while others can waste your precious time.
-
Anticipate the Meetings
Focusing on one opponent can sometimes be an excellent way to slow down their progress.
FAQ – All about Pic Challenge
How is Pic Challenge different from a Snakes and Ladders game?
Chance is greatly reduced thanks to the movement cards. Players choose their progress, which adds more strategy while maintaining an element of suspense.
From what age can one play?
The game is recommended for ages 5 and up, and its rules are simple enough to be quickly understood by younger children.
Is the game interesting for adults?
Yes. Even though it's aimed at children, the card choices, special squares, and twists make it an enjoyable game for the whole family.
Why choose Pic Challenge?
Because it cleverly reinvents the traditional board game by replacing simple dice rolls with genuine tactical choices, while remaining perfectly suited for young children.
