For the Queen is a cooperative storytelling game that requires no game master, no preparation, and no role-playing experience. Through Question cards, players collaboratively build a medieval adventure full of emotions, dilemmas, betrayals, and heroism. Each player embodies a companion to the Queen, tasked with escorting her on a dangerous diplomatic journey. But only one question truly matters... when the Queen is attacked, will you choose to defend her? Each game tells a completely different story, shaped by the players' imagination.

How to Play For the Queen?
Game Setup
- Begin by choosing your Queen from the 14 illustrationsprovided, or imagine an entirely new one.
- Each player then becomes one of her closest companions. No character is defined in advance: by progressively answering questions, each player constructs their identity, relationships, and motivations.
Gameplay outline
- Players take turns.
- On each turn, a player draws a card and reads the question aloud. They answer freely, building on what has already been told. The other players can then ask additional questions to enrich the shared story and develop the relationships between the characters.
- As the cards are played, the story naturally takes shape. The answers reveal the characters' secrets, their wounds, their ambitions, or their love for the Queen. Without realizing it, players collectively construct a true narrative, often rich in emotions and twists and turns.
- The game progresses until the last card, which gives full meaning to the adventure:
- "The Queen is under attack. Do you defend her?"
- Each player then answers this ultimate question based on everything their character has experienced during the game. This answer concludes the story and gives it a unique ending.
Win/Loss Condition
- For the Queen has neither winners nor losers.
- The goal is to collaboratively tell a coherent and impactful story. The true conclusion lies in each character's final decisions when the Queen is attacked.
