Scrabble Journey

• The compact board is set up between the players and the letters are placed in the bag.
• Each participant draws their letters and arranges them on their rack without showing them to their opponents.
• As in classic Scrabble, players will use their letters to gradually build a large crossword grid on the board.

In turn, a player forms a word horizontally or vertically using one or more letters from their rack.

The first word must pass through the central square of the board. Subsequent words must then be connected to the letters already present to gradually expand the grid.

Once their word is played, the player calculates the points obtained, then replenishes their rack by drawing new letters from the bag.

How to count points?

Each letter has a different value. The more difficult a letter is to use, the more points it can earn.

The board also features Scrabble's famous bonus squares:

• Double Letter Scoredoubles the value of a letter;
• Triple Letter Scoretriples the value of a letter;
• Double Word Scoremultiplies the total score of the word by two;
• Triple Word Scoremultiplies the total score of the word by three.

Placing your words well is therefore as important as finding the vocabulary to build them.

• The game ends when the Scrabble end conditions are met, particularly when the available letters have been exhausted and a player manages to empty their rack.
• The values of the remaining letters are then taken into account in the final calculation.
• The player with the highest scorewins the game.
