How do you play the game?
Game Setup
Each player chooses a main faction and receives their starting deck. The central market consists of cards allowing players to purchase new ships, bases, and upgrades. In the legacy campaign, envelopes and additional content are progressively unlocked based on the results of previous games.
Gameplay outline
In turn, you play cards to generate Trade, buy new units, and produce Combat Power to attack your opponent. Cards belonging to the same faction trigger particularly powerful combo effects.
Rise of Empire adds a permanent evolution mechanic: some cards can receive upgrades and become more effective over the course of the campaign. Your choices directly influence your playstyle in subsequent scenarios.
Win/Loss Condition
Most games are won by reducing the opponent's influence to zero. Some scenarios also introduce specific objectives or alternative victory conditions related to the campaign and the factions involved.
