How to play Terrorscape?

Game Setup

  • One player chooses to embody the killer while the others take on the role of the survivors.
  • The board is set up with the different rooms of the mansion, exploration elements, objects, and escape conditions. Each character has their own unique abilities that influence their playstyle.
  • The survivors start hidden while the killer secretly prepares their movements and tracking tools.

Gameplay outline

  • Each turn alternates between the survivors' actions and the killer's actions.
  • Survivors move stealthily between rooms to search, retrieve equipment, and complete the objectives necessary for their escape. As their movements remain partially hidden, they must constantly assess the risk of making noise or revealing their position.
  • Meanwhile, the killer observes the clues left in the mansion, attempts to deduce enemy movements, and uses their abilities to reduce escape possibilities.
  • Asymmetry is at the heart of the game: survivors have more actions but little information, while the killer has more control over the terrain.
