The famous and award-winning The Crew returns with new elements, without altering the basic gameplay! Now, objectives are distributed differently, making the game even more replayable, and adding the possibility for players to pass to avoid taking objectives. Communication also receives some new features, with shared tokens allowing you to give information to other players in a different way. Still as addictive, this new version promises many hours of gameplay. Does not require the base game The Crew.

How to play The Crew: Mission Deep Sea?

Game Setup

  • Choose a mission from the logbook, then deal the cards to the players.
  • Each mission assigns specific objectives that must be accomplished collectively to progress in the underwater exploration. Unlike the first The Crew, tasks are no longer simply associated with specific cards: they become more numerous, more varied, and sometimes even optional depending on the players involved.
  • The system retains the emblematic principle of limited communication, which forces the team to interpret every clue transmitted.

Gameplay outline

  • As in a traditional trick-taking game, each player plays a card in turn to form a trick.
  • The player who played the strongest card wins the trick... but here, winning is never the main objective.
  • Each mission imposes specific constraints: collecting certain cards in a precise order, winning series of tricks, secretly announcing objectives, or fulfilling more complex collective conditions. This new edition introduces 96 different tasks, compared to a more direct system in the first installment, which greatly multiplies game situations.
  • Another important novelty: some players may now receive no tasks on certain missions to better balance games depending on the number of participants.

Win/Loss Condition

  • The team wins the mission only if all assigned tasks are completed correctly.
  • If a condition fails or an objective is completed by the wrong player, the mission is immediately lost and must be replayed.
  • The campaign progresses the group through increasingly challenging scenarios until the complete exploration of the abyss.
  • Use each piece of information as a cue

With communication being limited, each revealed card becomes a strategic indication.

  • Think goals over wrinkles

Winning a useless trick can sometimes condemn the entire mission.

  • Distribute responsibilities naturally

Some missions reward teams that allow certain players to remain in support.
