Twin It is a fast-paced observation game where cards accumulate on the table, forming a colorful mosaic. You must try to spot pairs of cards with identical patterns faster than your opponents.

But it's not that simple! Most patterns are duplicated, some are triplicated, and a few traps are unique.

The game includes four complementary game modes, including: competitive, team, and cooperative!

In turn, clockwise, players flip over a card from their draw pile and place it on the table in a free space.

At any time, when a player spots a pair of identical patterns, they must quickly place a hand on each of these 2 cards to win the pair. The captured pairs are placed next to each other, in front of their owner, accessible and visible to everyone.

When a player has 5 captured pairs, the game ends and they win.

How to play the Twin it Japan game?

Game Setup

  • Shuffle the cards and place some of them face up in the center.
  • Form the draw pile nearby.
  • Everyone keep your hands free… speed is essential.

Gameplay outline

  1. Round after round, new cards are revealed in the center of the table.
  2. As soon as two cards show the exact same pattern, players must place their hand on them faster than the others.
  3. If the pair is correct, the player wins both cards.
  4. Some variants add cooperation or teams to liven up the games.

Win/Loss Condition

The game ends when the draw pile is empty or when a player reaches a set number of pairs. The player with the most pairs wins.

    Pairs often appear where you're not looking directly.

  • Analyze recurring patterns

    Even though inspired by Japan, certain motifs frequently recur: waves, flowers, masks, stylized kanji.
